Christie McKitrick - Assistant Trainer

Christie graduated from the University of Mary Washington in May of 2013. She has been actively involved in Pony Club, attending several Pony Club Championships in Eventing and Show Jumping, as well as attaining the A rating as a member of Difficult Run Pony Club. Christie has competed through Intermediate in Eventing, winning the Area II Young Rider Champion award in 2010 with Teco. Currently she is training her new horse, Sky, who has just turned 4. Christie has been training with Paul since 2005 and has been working for him since 2008. Christie combines excellent riding technique, consistency, and patience that makes her both a wonderful rider and a helpful teacher.

Pat Palmer - Clinic Manager

Pat has been riding with Paul for over 10 years and has successfully competed through the CCI* level on two past horses. She recently purchased a new project horse and hopes to get him competing by the end of the year if all goes well.

Pat keeps Paul's clinics organized and running smoothly. She is always willing to lend a hand and is a great asset to the CWF team.

Part Time Working Students

In addition to the full-time working student, Paul has several students who work part-time. Working part-time is a great way to help pay for lessons, while also gaining knowledge from a top professional on horse care and stable maintenance.

Sara Easterwood

Sara is a working student during the summer months and when on vacation from her studies at Virginia Tech. Sara and her wonderful mare, Artemis, have been successfully competing at the Preliminary level and are aiming for a CIC* and CCI* this fall.

Laura Kiff

After a year away at the University of Guelp in Canada, Laura is back this summer and has bought a young horse, Bugsy. Previously Laura competed through the CIC* level on a leased horse, Courageous, which gave her loads of great riding mile that can now be put into training her own horse. Laura and Bugsy won their first starter horse trials together at Seneca Valley in the elementary division in June!
